Known worldwide for the unique Chocolate Hills, visitors can enjoy these amazing limestone humps scattered all across the center of the island. While the area close to Carmen is the most famous view, you can also enjoy this natural phenomenon from Batuan, Sagbayan and even from coastal road north of Inabanga. Created through many millennia of water erosion on limestone atop impermeable clay, the hills are most notable for their chocolate color when the low scrub dries out fully in the months of April & May - though these natural wonders are a joy to view at any time of the year.
